‘Leave’ camp moves ahead, early UK referendum results say

At the moment, the number of Britons who voted for Brexit is 50.7% against 49.3% for the membership in the EU

LONDON, June 24./TASS/. The number of Britons who voted at Thursday’s referendum to leave the European Union is higher than those who opted to stay in the 28-member bloc, the official results from eight of 382 voting districts show.

At the moment, the number of Britons who voted for Brexit is 50.7% against 49.3% for the membership in the EU.

The supporters of the European integration took the lead at first, but the situation changed after it became clear that citizens of Sunderland, in northeast England, and Swindon, in southwest England, voted in favor of Brexit.
