MOSCOW, June 22. /TASS/. A source in the local law enforcement agencies has reported that Kiev’s forces fired 192 shells at the territory of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic near the contact line overnight.

The shellings targeted the villages of Spartak, Zhabichevo, Trudovskye on the outskirts of Donetsk, Zaytsevo in northern Gorlovka, Yelenovka, Mineralnoye and the outskirts of the Gagarina coal mine between 22.00 p.m. on Tuesday and 3.50 a.m. on Wednesday, the source told the Donetsk News Agency.

"A total of 94 shells with the caliber of 120mm and 98 shells with the caliber of 82mm were fired at these areas," he said. The Kiev forces opened fire from the positions in Avdeyevka, Zhovanki, Taramchuk, Maryinka, Shirokino, Pesky and Shumy. They also used grenade launchers and small arms.
