MOSCOW, June 15. /TASS/. A source in the law enforcement agencies of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) has reported mortar shelling on the northern and western outskirts of Donetsk and the cities of Gorlovka and Dokuchaevsk last night.
"The Ukrainian armed forces were shelling Dokuchaevsk, the territory of the airport, the villages of Zaitsevo, Spartak, Elenovka, Staromikhailovka and Alexandrovka between 11pm and 1am," he told Donetsk News Agency on Wednesday.
According to the source, the Ukrainian military used infantry combat vehicles, grenade launchers and small arms along with mortars.
On June 10, the Contact Group on the settlement in eastern Ukraine held emergency video conference talks on request from the DPR. The participants in the meeting pointed to the need of observing the ceasefire and agreed to investigate the fire attacks by the next Contact Group meeting due on June 15. Members of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) and the Joint Center for Ceasefire Control and Coordination (JCCC) are to take part in it.
