MOSCOW, June 14. /TASS/. Ukrainian forces shelled the territory of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) 488 times over the last 24 hours, DPR operational command said on Tuesday.
"The situation in the Donetsk People’s Republic remains tense. Over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian forces have shelled DPR territory 488 times," Donetsk News Agency quoted DPR operational command as saying.
According to DPR operational command, Kiev forces opened fire at Zaytsevo near Gorlovka, Yasinovataya, Spartak and Zhabichevo near the Donetsk airport, Alexandrovka and Staromikhaylovka to the west of Donetsk, Yelenovka and Sakhanka in DPR’s south. Ukrainian forces fired 22 artillery shells of 122mm caliber, 74 shells of 120mm caliber and 177 shells of 82mm caliber. They also used infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers and small arms.
"We handed the information about violations of the Minsk Agreements to representatives of OSCE (Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe) and JCCC (Joint Center for Control and Coordination)," DPR operational command said.
