Ukraine Contact Group to hold video conference on Friday

MOSCOW, June 10. /TASS/. Participants of the Contact Group on settling the crisis in Donbass are due to hold a video conference at 11 a.m. Moscow time (0800GMT) on Friday, envoy of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic to the Minsk talks Vladislav Deinego has said.

The video conference will be convened "after yesterday’s statement of Denis Pushilin," Deinego was quoted by the LuganskInformCenter as saying.

On Thursday, Denis Pushilin, the envoy of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic to the talks, called for an emergency meeting of the Contact Group in the form of a video conference amid the shellings of DPR residential areas by Ukrainian forces. Kiev has refused to hold the talks without explaining the reasons.

Overnight to June 9, Ukraine’s forces opened fire at Donetsk, Makeyevka, Yasinovataya and other settlements from heavy weapons. One civilian was killed, another 15 wounded, including a three-year-old child.
