MOSCOW, June 1. /TASS/. Russia and the United States have no agreement on cooperation in the struggle with the Islamic State in Syria, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has told the media.
"As before, we can state with regret that there is no cooperation in fighting terrorists in Syria," Peskov has said. "I would like to recall that twice a day we exchange information with the US partners through the corresponding channels."
Asked if there had been some secret agreement with the United States, Peskov answered in the negative.
He also said that at the request of the Syrian leadership the Russian military group was fighting against the Islamic State only within Syria and not in Iraq.
