Explosion hits Turkish town near Syrian border, injures 5 people - media

ANKARA, May 30. /TASS/. An explosion hit the Turkish town of Kulp near the Syrian border, Al Watan newspaper reported on Monday.

A car bomb blew up near the gendarmerie building, injuring at least five people.

No terrorist organization has claimed the responsibility for the attack so far.

Over the last several months, security forces and members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) have often clashed in Turkey’s south-eastern regions populated mostly by Kurds.
