"The meeting will be focused on efforts to overcome the latest escalation in Nagorno-Karabakh and the search for diplomatic ways of the conflict settlement," a source in the Armenian delegation told TASS ahead of the meeting.
Earlier in the day, Europe’s security chief Federica Mogherini met with the presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia, Ilham Aliyev and Serzh Sargsyan, to discuss the settlement in Nagorno-Karabakh.
By the end of the day, Aliyev and Sargsyan are expected to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, US Secretary of State John Kerry and French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault as the co-chair of the Minsk Group of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
