MOSCOW, May 11. /TASS/. Russian and US military officials held a video conference on Wednesday to review the implementation of the memorandum on the safety of flights over Syria to agree that over the seven months since its adoption it has proved highly effective, the Russian Defense Ministry has said in a statement.
"It was noted that over the past seven months since the signing of the memorandum the document has demonstrated its high effectiveness. The communication channels established under this document have allowed for minimizing the risk of incidents between the Russian air group’s planes and aircraft of the US-led coalition," the statement runs.
The Defense Ministry’s press-service said that Russian and US military experts would continue contacts through bilateral channels. The parties agreed to hold the next video conference at the end of June 2016.
