HMEIMIM /Syria/, May 4. /TASS/. Nearly 100 foreign journalists from 26 countries have arrived in Syria as part of a press tour organized by the Russian Defense Ministry.
"This is the seventh press tour to Syria organized for foreign journalists," Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov told reporters on Wednesday upon arrival at Hmeimim airbase.
He noted that about 400 foreign reporters and approximately the same number of Russian journalists had visited Syria on a mission organized by the Russian Defense Ministry.
According to Konashenkov, on Wednesday the journalists will see the work of the Center for Reconciliation in Syria, "which does great and important work and the accommodation conditions of the Russian military personnel at Hmeimim base."
