Police work at site of explosion on a bus in Jerusalem

According to the Jerusalem Post, at least 20 people were injured by an explosion on a bus heading from Jerusalem to Hebron in the southern West Bank

TEL AVIV, April 18./TASS/. An empty bus exploded in Jerusalem earlier on Monday, the blast injuring at least 20 people in another bus nearby, the Jerusalem Post reports.

"An empty bus in Jerusalem reportedly exploded Monday afternoon on Hebron Road, according to MDA. Police said that at least 15 people were injured after another bus nearby was damaged in the incident, with two in critical condition," the newspaper said.

"Medical Emergency Services also said that at least six were in moderate condition and another seven in light condition," it went on.

Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said a probe had been launched.

"Police units were dispatched to the site of a reported explosion on a bus in Jerusalem. Emergency services are already working at the site," the policeman said.
