MOSCOW, April 12. /TASS/. Representatives of the Syrian opposition’s High Negotiations Committee (HNC) have not come to the meeting with Russian presidential envoy for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov in Cairo, a TASS correspondent reported on Tuesday.
"There was Ahmad Jarba, there were representatives of the Cairo group - four people with whom I spoke. Other representatives of the Syrian opposition did not come to Cairo," Bogdanov said.
He added that Ahmad Jarba represented the movement "Syria’s Tomorrow" at the meeting in Cairo. "He is not part of HNC," the diplomat noted.
Bogdanov said he discussed several very important issues with Jabra. "We comprehensively discussed all matters, and he generally holds balanced positions," the deputy foreign minister concluded.
