Militia source reports shelling of Donetsk-Gorlovka road in Donbass at night

MOSCOW, April 8. /TASS/. A source at defense bodies of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) said on Friday that the Yasinovataya checkpoint on the Donetsk-Gorlovka road was shelled at night.

"Another shelling of the Yasinovataya checkpoint began at 21:00 and was over by midnight," the Donetsk News Agency quoted the source as saying. "The military used weapons of 152mm caliber and tanks."

According to the source, five artillery shells were launched, tank fire was opened five times while 82mm mortar fire was opened 17 times.

Besides, the military used mortars to shell Dokuchayevsk - to the south from Donetsk.

"The Ukrainian military began the shelling of Dokuchayevsk at about 23:30, where they fired 20 mines of 120mm and 20 of 82mm caliber," the source said.

On Thursday evening, under fire of the Ukrainian military was the Spartak settlements north of Donets, where two houses burned down, and besides the military shelled from heavy weapons the Yasinovataya checkpoint.
