BAKU, April 4. /TASS/. Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry has said its troops have destroyed twelve armored vehicles in the area of the Karabakh conflict over the past few hours. It claims that Armenia has lost 170 troops killed.
According to the statement "Armenian troops are leaving positions and retreating, while Azerbaijani troops have gained more advantageous and strategically important positions to begin fortification work, visual reconnaissance and fire adjustment."
Tensions in Nagorno-Karabakh soared along the engagement line separating the conflicting parties in the small hours of April 2. Fierce clashes followed. Either side blamed the other for breaching truce.
