Suicide bomber attack in Pakistan’s Lahore kills 50 - Punjab authorities

The police have found the head of the supposed suicide bomber at the site. The bomb was stuffed with metal balls

ISLAMABAD, March 27. /TASS/. At least 50 people, mostly women and children, have been killed in suicide bomber attack in a playground in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park in Lahore, the capital city of Pakistan’s Punjab province, Salman Rafique, an advisor to Punjab’s health minister, said on Sunday.

According to the Express Tribune newspaper, the death toll is 59.

The police have found the head of the supposed suicide bomber at the site. The bomb was stuffed with metal balls.

Eyewitnesses say there were many families with children in the park but almost no security guards at stationary and mobile points. The explosion occurred several meters off children’s amusement rides.

Neither of terrorist groups acting in the province has claimed responsibility for the terror attack.
