False alarm in central Brussels, cordon lifted

BRUSSELS, March 26. /TASS/. The Bascule commercial district in central Brussels has been reopened for visitors on Saturday after the police lifted the cordon set over a blast threat, TASS correspondent reports from the scene. The threat has turned out to be false.

"The district has been cordoned off as a suspicious object was being checked out," a police representative told TASS.

Now the situation has got back to normal, the cordon has been lifted.
