GENEVA, March 24. /TASS/. The Syrian government delegation has left Geneva, an informed source has told TASS.
"The negotiation round has ended, the delegation left Geneva," he said.
Since the negotiations are indirect and are mediated by UN Secretary General’s special envoy Staffan de Mistura, other delegations still continue their work. The official announcement of the end of the talks is expected later on Thursday.
On Thursday morning, head of the Syrian government delegation Bashar Jaafari held a meeting with de Mistura. The UN envoy earlier distributed among the participants a 12-point draft document outlining the main principles of the Syrian settlement. The parties are to finalize their attitude towards this document by the next round of the talks.
