GENEVA, March 21. /TASS/. Riyad Hijab, the head of Syria’s High Negotiations Committee (HNC), has arrived in Geneva to join the ongoing intra-Syrian peace talks, an HNC representative told TASS on Monday.
"HNC confirms that Mr. Hijab is in Geneva," he said.
The HNC delegation is expected to have another meeting with United Nations Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura on March 22.
The current round of intra-Syrian peace consultations will finish on March 24.
Riyad Hijab, Syria’s former Prime Minister, is a member of the National Coalition for Syrian Revolution and Opposition Forces, which has nine delegates in the 34-member HNC team.
