GENEVA, March 20. /TASS/. Riyad Hijab, the head of Syria’s High Negotiations Committee (HNC), is expected to join the intra-Syrian peace talks in Geneva on Monday, a well-informed source told TASS on Sunday.
"HNC head Hijab is expected to arrive to Geneva to join the intra-Syrian talks tomorrow," the source said.
Meanwhile, a source close to the HNC said Hijab could be expected to join the talks by the end of the current round, in mid-week.
The current round of intra-Syrian peace consultations will finish on March 24.
Riyad Hijab, Syria’s former Prime Minister, is a member of the National Coalition for Syrian Revolution and Opposition Forces, which has nine delegates in the 34-member HNC team.
