MOSCOW, March 18. /TASS/. Three servicemen of Ukrainian Armed Forces were killed and two more injured when a Hummer SUV exploded near Volnovakha after hitting a landmine, the spokesman of the defense ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Eduard Basurin said on Friday.

"According to information of our intelligence, a Hummer vehicles exploded upon hitting a landmine near the settlement of Andreyevka [to the south of Donetsk] in the area controlled by 72nd separate mechanized brigade. Three people were killed, and two Ukrainian servicemen were gravely injured," Donetsk News Agency quoted Basurin as saying.

DPR defense ministry said earlier today that three Ukrainian servicemen were killed and four more were injured near the town of Avdeyevka to the north of Donetsk as a result of an explosion that occurred when Ukrainian forces attempted to down an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
