BEIJING, March 10. /TASS/. Information exchange between China and Russia will help protect global and regional stability, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei said on Thursday.
"The situation in the world is very complicated. The Korean nuclear issue and Syrian crisis are at their key stages. Timely information exchange between China and Russia will help improve strategic coordination between us and will have a favorable impact on peace and stability in the region and in the world," Hong said commenting on Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s visit to Russia.
The diplomat expressed hope for further development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Moscow and Beijing in different spheres.
Wang Yi will hold a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow. The sides are expected to discuss, among other things, the situation on the Korean Peninsula and efforts on settling the crisis in Syria.
