Two Russians injured in terror attack in Tel Aviv — embassy

A series of terror attacks occurred just as U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden arrived in Tel Aviv

TEL AVIV, March 9. /TASS/. Two Russians have received injuries in a terror attack that his the Israeli capital of Tel Aviv on Tuesday, a diplomat at the Russian embassy to Israel told TASS.

"It has been confirmed that there are two Russian tourists (among the wounded people)," Ruslan Kandaurov said.

An American citizen was stabbed to death in a knife attack and another ten people were wounded, the spokesman for the Israeli police, Micky Rosenfeld, said.

"An American tourist was murdered this evening in stabbing attack carried out by Palestinian terrorist in Jaffa," he said, adding that ten wounded people had been taken to hospital and were receiving treatment.

"The terrorist was shot," Rosenfeld said.

This attack was the third deadly act of terror that rocked Israel on Tuesday.

Two Israelis received gunshot wounds from a Palestinian in Jerusalem. Simultaneously, another Israeli national was stabbed in the town of Petah Tikva, in Tel Aviv’s suburbs.
