Goa-Moscow flights lands in emergency in Astrakhan

"The plane carried 224 passengers, all are fine", the press service of the local emergencies service said on Sunday

ASTRAKHAN, March 6. /TASS/. A Boeing757/200, which operated a flight from Goa to Moscow, had to make an emergency landing in southern Astrakhan, press service of the local emergencies service said on Sunday.

"The passengers have received food, now their luggage is unloaded, then necessary checking procedures will take place," the service said. "The aviation company will send over another plane from Moscow to pick up the passengers - we expect it to land at about 14:15 Moscow time."

Press service of the local emergencies service said earlier: "A plane of the Royal Flight carrier made an emergency landing at 9:35 at the airport in Astrakhan due to a failure of the electronics on board. The plane carried 224 passengers, all are fine."

The Royal Flight is a Russian aviation company operating chartered flights.
