Assad believes it would be more humane to take care of Syrians inside Syria

ABU DHABI, March 1. /TASS/. Syria’s President Bashar Assad believes that it would be more humane to take care of Syrians inside Syria, and not of the refugees from Syria arriving in Europe.

Assad expressed this opinion of his in an interview to the German broadcasting corporation ARD, which the Syrian presidential staff has published on its official page in Twitter.

"From the humanitarian point of view we welcome Germany’s hospitality towards the Syrian refugees, but wouldn’t it be more humane to help those (Syrians) who remain in their home country?" Assad said.

He believes it would be less costly and more humane to direct efforts towards the struggle with terrorism, restore stability (to Syria) and create a situation where Syrians would prefer to stay in their homes in their home country.
