Kiev forces shell Lugansk republic’s territory from small arms

No casualties are reported

MOSCOW, February 29. /TASS/. Ukraine’s forces have again shelled militia positions in the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic, the local defense ministry said on Monday.

The fire was opened from small arms on the Lozovoye village from the direction of the Luganskoye village late on Sunday. "There are no casualties," a ministry spokesman told the LuganskInformCenter.

At the Minsk meeting of the Contact Group on settling the crisis in Ukraine’s southeast in mid-January the sides agreed to declare ceasefire from January 14. This is the seventh attempt since autumn 2014 to fully observe the ceasefire in Donbass. The Ukrainian forces and militias of the self-proclaimed republics continue accusing each other of violating ceasefire.
