IS group threatens Facebook, Twitter founders — reports

A 25-minute propaganda video with pictures of Zuckerberg and Dorsey "covered with bullet holes" was found by Vocativ deep web analysts on the Telegram social media site that the IS group uses

WASHINGTON, February 25. /TASS/. The Islamic State [IS] terrorist group has made direct threats to Facebook and Twitter CEOs Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey, Vocativ news portal reported on Thursday.

A 25-minute propaganda video with pictures of Zuckerberg and Dorsey "covered with bullet holes" was found by Vocativ deep web analysts on the Telegram social media site that the IS group uses.

The threat comes in retaliation for efforts to suspend the IS-affiliated social media accounts, according to the report. Twitter said earlier this month it deleted 125,000 accounts "for threatening or promoting terrorist acts" primarily related to the IS. Facebook also said it took steps to ensure that terrorists did not use the site.

The IS group claims it hacked more than 10,000 Facebook accounts, more than 150 Facebook groups and more than 5,000 accounts on Twitter. "If you close one account we will take 10 in return and soon your names will be erased after we delete your sites, Allah willing, and will know that we say is true," text on the video clip read.
