MOSCOW, February 22. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani discussed the situation in Syria in a telephone conversation, the Kremlin press service said on Monday.
"Continuing the talks that took place during the recent visit of the Qatari Emir to Moscow, the leaders discussed pressing issues of the situation in Syria. It was agreed, in particular, to step up bilateral contacts at different levels aimed at contributing to the settlements of the crisis," the press service said.
