Explosion hiits Turkey's Ankara — authorities

At least 18 people were killed

ANKARA, February 17. /TASS/. At least 18 people have been killed and 45 have been injured as a result of an explosion near a military dormitory in Ankara, local authorities said in a statement Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Turkish Health Minister Mehmet Muezzinoglu said "61 people injured during the explosion are in 14 hospitals in Ankara."

"Most part of those injured and killed are representatives of the armed forces. I can’t name the exact number of those killed but according to incoming reports, there could be more than 20 of them," Muezzinoglu said.
