KIEV, February 17. /TASS/. The flu epidemic death toll in Ukraine has reached 292, the Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
"Since the epidemic’s outbreak 292 flu-related lethal cases were registered, including four deaths among children under 17 and two pregnant women," the ministry said, adding that 64,9% of those affected by the epidemic are children.
The Odessa Region in Ukraine’s south where 40 lethal cases were reported is hit by the epidemic most.
Health ministry data shows swine flu, officially known as influenza virus A/H1N1, is spreading in Ukraine since December.
