Russia hopes Syrian Support Group will put no obstacles to intra-Syrian talks — FM Deputy

GENEVA, February 4. /TASS/. Russia hopes that members of the International Syria Support Group (ISSG) due to gather in Munich on February 11 will speak in favor of continuing the intra-Syrian negotiating process and will put no obstacle to it, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said on Thursday.

"I would like to hope that members of this group will speak in favor of continuing the negotiating process and that neither of them will not hamper the launch of this process," he said.

In his words, it is important both from the point of view of the interests of the Syrian people and from the point of view of settling the Syrian conflict. "So, this meeting will be very important," the Russian diplomat stressed.
