MOSCOW, February 2 /TASS/. Horst Seehofer, the minister-president of Bavaria, will pay a working visit to Moscow on February 3-5 at the Moscow government invitation, an informed diplomatic source told TASS on Tuesday.
"On February 4, he [Horst Seehofer] will meet Russian Minister of Economic Development Alexey Ulyukayev; Minister of Trade and Industry Denis Manturov; Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin and Moscow region Governor Andrey Vorobyov," the source said adding that Russian-German cooperation, including economic relations between Bavaria and Russia, would be part of agenda.
The Bavarian leader said that German Chancellor Angela Merkel and German Foreign Minister Frank Walter Steinmeier had approved his visit to Moscow. Seehofer also said that the current global situation made international cooperation imperative.
"It is impossible to cope with crisis spots in Europe without Russia. The truth is that we will be unable to settle the current conflicts if we act without or against Russia. We have been sticking to this stance for a long time," the minister-president of Bavaria said.
