Militias say Kiev forces again shell territory of Luhansk republic

Two shells were fired from the infantry fighting vehicle-1 against Kalinovka settlement from the Luhanskoye village, the militias say

MOSCOW, January 25. /TASS/. Kiev troops have shelled the territory of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic twice from the infantry fighting vehicle over the past two days, local militias said on Monday.

"At 11.40 a.m. (08:40 GMT) two shells were fired from the infantry fighting vehicle-1 against Kalinovka settlement from the Luhanskoye village," the militias told the LuganskInformCenter.

No casualties or damages have been reported.

At the meeting on January 13, the Contact Group on settling the crisis in Ukraine’s southeast backed the initiative of Russia’s envoy to the Minsk talks Boris Gryzlov on declaring ceasefire. This is the seventh attempt since autumn 2014 to fully observe the ceasefire in Donbas.

The "silence regime" was introduced from midnight on January 14. However, the Ukrainian forces and militias of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk republics continue accusing each other of violating the ceasefire.
