Pavel Filip’s candidature won support from 55 out of 101 lawmakers

CHISINAU, January 15. /TASS/. Moldova’s parliament has proposed the candidature of Minister of Information Technologies and Communications Pavel Filip for the post of prime minister, Sergei Sirbu, a lawmaker with the Democratic Party of Moldova, told journalists on Friday.

He said Filip’s candidature had won support from 55 out of 101 lawmakers. This way, the parliament gave to understand that it would not support the candidacy of Ion Paduraru, he chief of President Nicolae Timofti’s administration staff, who had been nominated by the president on Thursday.
