According to some reports, six blasts were heard in downtown Jakarta, including near a big shopping mall

BANGKOK, January 14. /TASS/. Five people, including a police officer, have been killed in a series of blasts in central Jakarta, the Indonesia-based Kompas newspaper said on Thursday.

According to the newspaper, one of the explosions occurred in front of a Starbucks outlet near the Sarinah Thamrin Plaza shopping mall. A series of six blasts were reportedly followed by an exchange of gunfire between the attackers and the police. The area has been cordoned off.
