TEHRAN, January 12. /TASS/. War in Syria is building friendly relations between Damascus and Tehran, Syrian president Bashar Assad said at a meeting with Iranian Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli on Tuesday.
"The present war in Syria has resulted in strengthening of friendly relations between Damascus and Tehran," the IRNA news agency quoted Assad as saying. "It has resulted in making the two brotherly nations stand by each other."
IRNA said the Syrian president valued Iran's support for the Syrian nation's resistance.
