MEXICO CITY, January 9. /TASS/. The Mexican authorities will put recaptured drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman in the maximum-security Altiplano jail from which he escaped last July, Attorney General of Mexico Arely Gomez Conzalez told a press conference on Friday.
El Chapo, who smuggled drugs to the United States through the Sinaloa cartel that he led, escaped from Altiplano through a 1.5km tunnel.
One of world’s most wanted drug traffickers was recaptured on Friday in a special operation by Mexican marines in the coastal city of Los Mochis in north-west Mexico.
