BEIJING, January 8. /TASS/. China calls on North Korea to follow the principles of denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and not to take actions that can trigger the deterioration of the situation in the region, Chinese Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson Hua Chunying said on Friday.
"China urges North Kora to adhere to denuclearization, to reiterate its commitment to this principle and to refrain from actions that can exacerbate the situation," she said.
"In light of new developments, China will continue to protect the non-proliferation regime and will work with all parties to resolve this issue," the diplomat said.
"China’s basic position is that, regardless of what happens, we will adhere to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and maintaining peace and stability in this region," she noted.
