UNITED NATIONS, January 5 /TASS/. The United Nations Security Council on Monday resolutely condemned the attack on Saudi Arabian embassy and consulate in Iran and called on the Iranian authorities to guarantee the protection of diplomatic facilities and personnel in accordance with international commitments.

In a statement made for the press, the Security Council members urged all the parties to maintain dialogue and take steps to reduce regional tensions.
