Islamic State terrorist attack kills at least five in northeastern Syria

BEIRUT, December 31. /TASS/. Terrorists from the Islamic State (IS) group blew up two bombs in the Kurdish city of Qamishli in northeastern Syria, the Al Mayadeen TV channel has reported.

At least five people have been killed in the terrorist attack and another 12 have been injured, according to the report.

Qamishli is located on the border with Turkey and is home to the Kurdish autonomous administration.

The blasts occurred in a largely Christian quarter of Antaria near the headquarters of local self-defense forces.
