LATAKIA, December 26. /TASS/. The Syrian aviation has made 168 sorties and delivered airstrikes at 190 targets since mid-December, destroying several command posts of terrorists in the cities of Homs, Hama, Idlib, Aleppo and Damascus, Syrian Armed Forces spokesman Brig. Gen. Ali Maihub said on Sunday.
"On December 17-26, Syrian Air Force made 168 sorties and delivered airstrikes at 190 terrorist targets on the outskirts of Homs, Hama, Idlib, Aleppo and Damascus. The airstrikes destroyed command posts and groups of terrorist organizations," Maihub said.
Three command posts of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist organization and a covoy of vehicles with terrorists were spotted near Homs.
Twenty-two control and communication centers and three fortifications were destroyed on the outskirts of Aleppo, he added. Syrian aviation also destroyed a convoy of vehicles with terrorists near Idlib.
Maihub said that successes of the Syrian army result in the growing number of defectors among terrorists "who mostly head for the border with Turkey.".
