Militants shell Damascus eastern outskirts, nine people killed

BEIRUT, December 27. /TASS/. Militants from the Jaysh al-Islam militant group have shelled the refugee camp Al-Wafideen near Damascus and neighborhoods of Dahiyat-Harasta and Dahiyat-Assad, a spokesperson for the Damascus police department said on Sunday.

Nine people were killed and 16 more injured in the shelling, he said. Shells also exploded near the Abbasids Square at Damascus’ eastern gates, injuring two people.
