MOSCOW, December 25. /TASS/. The Syrian army is tightening the encirclement of terrorists in the suburbs of Damascus and is amassing forces for offensive in other directions, Chief of the Main Operations Directorate of the Russian General Staff Sergey Rudskoy said on Friday.
"In the suburbs of Damascus, the government forces established control over Marj al-Sultan village and continue to conduct raid actions tightening the encirclement of illegal armed groups in the directions of Nashabia, Noula, Douma and Zibdin," he said.
Russia has been to carrying out strikes against terrorists in Syria since September 30.
