MOSCOW, November 26. /TASS/. The convoys of the Russian Emergencies Ministry have delivered humanitarian aid to Donetsk and Luhansk, the ministry’s press service told TASS.
"More than 100 vehicles, which brought more than 1,000 tons of humanitarian cargo, mainly food and medications, have arrived in Donetsk and Luhansk," the press service said.
Currently, the vehicles are unloaded in the presence of representatives of local government bodies, which will later distribute the humanitarian aid, including among the socially significant facilities in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
After the unloading is over, all vehicles will travel back to Russia’s Rostov region.
This is the 46th humanitarian aid convoy of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the Donbas region. Since August 2014 more than 54,500 tons of humanitarian cargo for residents of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions have been delivered to eastern Ukraine.
