UN General Assembly urges Moscow conference on Palestine-Israel settlement

UNITED NATIONS, November 25. /TASS/. The UN General Assembly urged on Tuesday the resumption of negotiations on the settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and came out in favor of an international conference held in Moscow timely to contribute to the Middle East process.

A resolution on that, passed on the yearly basis, was approved by the majority of votes. The document was supported an overwhelming majority of 155 countries with seven countries voting against and seven more abstaining. The resolution was not supported by Israel, Canada, the Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau and the United States.

Australia, Honduras and South Sudan were among the seven countries that abstained.
