MOSCOW, November 23 /TASS/. The Ukrainian military shelled the line of contact in the directions of Gorlovka and Donetsk and populated localities in the south of the DPR, the Defense Ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic told TASS.
"The village of Mikhailovka to the south of Gorlovka, the Spartak village, the outskirts of a Volvo Centre located to the north of Donetsk and the Krasnyi Oktyabr village in the south of the DPR came under the enemy fire," the Donetsk News Agency quoted the defense ministry’s spokesperson as saying.
The shelling started at around 19:00 and lasted for more than an hour. The Ukrainian side used mortar launchers with a caliber of 82 millimeters; grenade launchers and small arms.
Previous reports said that the Ukrainian military had violated the ceasefire in Donbas 23 times over the past 24 hours.
