UN, November 20. /TASS/. The United Nation Security Council on Friday may take a vote on the French draft resolution on combatting the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group and other extremist organisations in Syria and Iraq, a UN source told TASS.
"The tentative session is scheduled for 13:00," it said.
France's envoy to the UN Francois Delattre has not confirmed the information, noting that it would be better if the Security Council voted as soon as possible.
"A week has already passed since the terrorist attacks in Paris," Delattre said, adding that the Security Council’s members have "last steps" left to take.
