Powerful earthquake hits Russia's Kuril islands

There is no immediate information about casualties or damage

PARIS, November 16. /TASS/. A magnitude 5.8 earthquake hit the Kuril Islands in Russia's Far East on Monday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre said.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of ten kilometers and 618 kilometers off the Russian Far Eastern city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

There is no immediate information about casualties or damage.
