MOSCOW, November 3./TASS/. A meeting of representatives of the Syrian opposition and government may be held in Moscow already next week, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov told reporters on Tuesday.
"Such a meeting is planned," said Bogdanov, who is also Russian president’s special envoy for the Middle East and Africa.
"We will be inviting a broad range of the opposition. As for the government of the Syrian Arab Republic, they are always ready, there is no problem here," he added.
The diplomat reminded reporters that Moscow had several times been the host in an exchange of opinions between the opposition and the Syrian government. "You can call this meeting as Moscow-2.5," he said referring to two previous analogous meetings in Moscow.
"We hope for constructive discussion," Bogdanov said.
