Tymoshenko’s party failing local elections in Ukraine — exit polls

Notably, Yulia Tymoshenko has managed to score mere 4.3% of the vote in her native city, Dnipropetrovsk

KIEV, October 25. /TASS/. First results of Ukraine’s local elections on Sunday demonstrate that the Batkivshchina (Fatherland) party led by Ukraine’s former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko is failing these elections.

The party has managed to surpass the ten-percent barrier only in the Rovno region, where it is scoring 12.1% of the vote.

According to expert forecasts, Batkivshchyna was expected to win about ten percent of votes at the elections to the Kiev city council (legislature). But judging by the preliminary results, the party is failing to live up to the expectation, with only 9.2%

In Ternopil and Kharkiv, Timoshenko’s party is winning 5.5 and 3.3%, respectively.

Notably, Yulia Tymoshenko has managed to score mere 4.3% of the vote in her native city, Dnipropetrovsk.
