KIEV, October 25. /TASS/. Five parties are scoring more than five percent of the vote at the Sunday elections and winning seats in the city council, or legislature, of Ukraine’s capital city Kiev, Ukraine’s Committee of Voters said, citing exit poll results.
According to the Committee, the leaders are Solidarity (28.3% of the vote) and Samopomoshch (Self-assistance) (10.3%).
Yulia Timoshenko’s Batkivshchina (Fatherland) party is winning 10.1% of the vote, the Svoboda (Freedom) association is winning 9.7%, and the party Edinstvo (Unity) - 8.5%
The Opposition Bloc is scoring 3.8% of votes that are not enough to win seats in the city legislature.
